The Makita DBO180Z is a compact and lightweight cordless random orbital sander designed for superior balance and control, making it ideal for detailed and overhead sanding tasks. Powered by 18V Li-ion LXT batteries (sold separately), its low-profile design and reduced center of gravity enhance maneuverability for precision work.

Featuring a simple one-touch electronic switch, the DBO180Z offers three speed settings—low, medium, and high—delivering orbital speeds of 7,000, 9,500, and 11,000 OPM respectively. Its 2.8mm random orbital stroke enables fast material removal while ensuring a smooth, swirl-free finish.

For improved user safety and control, the sander includes a pad control system that gradually ramps up the speed during startup and a pad brake to reduce spin-down time. The dust-sealed switch and sealed bearings increase durability, while the efficient through-the-pad dust collection system helps maintain a cleaner work environment.

This model is also compatible with Makita dust extractors without needing an adapter, making it easy to connect to your existing dust management system.
